The Journey Behind Freddie Blue 🌟

From the vibrant streets of Soho to the silver screen, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. I’m Holly Ross, formerly Debbie Holder, and my career began in the world of graphic design, working in an art studio above the iconic Marquee Club in London. My path then led me into the world of film and TV as a make-up artist in the late '80s, where I had the privilege of working on everything from music videos to period dramas at the BBC. My freelance work included high-profile projects like Band of Brothers (Dir: Tom Hanks, Prod: Steven Spielberg), Man to Man, and The Fourth Angel—a career you can explore on IMDB under Debbie Ross.

But life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a condition that brought an abrupt end to my illustrious career. Walking out of Moorfield’s Eye Hospital, I faced the loss of my independence and self-worth. The transition was overwhelming, plunging me into grief and depression.

In the face of this challenge, I found resilience through meditation and soul-searching. Embracing my new reality, I adopted the name Holly, shedding the past to reclaim my strength. With a new identity and a fresh perspective, I ventured into the world of art once more. Despite the hurdles, I began painting with my make-up brushes, finding success as an abstract landscape artist with exhibitions in Yorkshire, Edinburgh, and London.

However, the reliance on others for logistical support and the disruption of the pandemic shook my confidence. Seeking purpose, I returned to therapy and meditation, rediscovering my passion for alternative therapies—a journey that began in 1989 with my first ‘Mind and Body’ exhibition in London. My studies in crystal therapy, energy healing, and meditation seamlessly merged with my earlier interest in jewelry design from Central St. Martin’s in 1998.

With newfound clarity and the ability to control my studio environment, I founded Freddie Blue. Each piece of bespoke jewelry is handcrafted with love, designed to awaken the inner power within you. Currently, you can explore our first collection of healing crystal bracelets and meditation beads at ‘Curated Craft 24’ online trade fair or at Freddie Blue.

Every creation features ethically sourced gemstones and crystals, ensuring that each piece is as unique as the journey that inspired it. Through Freddie Blue, I’ve redefined my identity and purpose, channeling my passion into beautifully designed, healing jewelry. 🌟💫
